New build installationsUnderfloor Heating for New Builds.

Installing underfloor heating in a new build is the most cost-effective time to do it. With the floor structure open and accessible, the right system can be installed quickly and efficiently — and the design can be optimised without compromise.

Why New Build is the Ideal Moment

With the floor structure open before finishes go in, a new build installation avoids the constraints that come with retrofitting into an existing property. There’s no need for low-profile workarounds, no disruption to finished rooms, and far greater flexibility in system choice, allowing you to specify the most efficient, highest-performing solution from the outset.
It’s also the natural moment to design for future compatibility, whether you’re installing a heat pump now, or planning to add one later.

Systems for New Builds

Pipe in Screed The most widely used system for new build projects. Pipework is clipped onto insulation laid on the concrete sub-floor, and screed is poured on top, embedding the pipes and creating a highly efficient thermal mass that radiates heat evenly upward. The most cost-effective and highest-performing option where a screed floor is being laid.
RetroTherm® FLO For new builds where floor build-up height is a consideration, RetroTherm® FLO offers a low-profile alternative with a build-up of under 20mm above the concrete floor, while still delivering excellent heat output. Ideal where project timelines don’t allow for the screed drying period.
Upper Floor Systems UFH doesn’t have to stop at the ground floor. Our Joist Plate and JoistDeck® systems bring underfloor heating to first and second floors with no increase to the finished floor height.

Working With Developers, Architects & Self-Builders

WarmTraceUFH regularly works alongside property developers, architects and main contractors on residential new build projects. We understand the importance of working within build programmes, and we coordinate our installation around your project timeline to avoid delays.
Our fully indemnified CAD designs, produced to BS EN 1264, give architects and developers the documentation they need and give homeowners confidence that the system has been professionally specified.

The Process

Submit your plans

Send us your drawings via our free quote form. We’ll assess the project and produce a full design proposal and quote.

Review and approve

We work with you to finalise the design – adjusting zones, manifold placement and pipe layout until everything is right for your project.

Installation

We coordinate with your build programme and arrive on site at the appropriate stage to complete the installation efficiently and to an exceptional standard.

Handover

On completion, we provide full system documentation including your CAD design, commissioning records and operating instructions.
